Description

A Mixer Reactor Diffuser uses the outlet from a filter or pump to mix CO2 directly with the water before entering the aquarium. The process works by mixing the CO2 and water at the top of the diffuser using dual impellers, which spin using the force of water entering the reactor.

The outlet is located at the bottom of the reactor chamber, and therefore only fully diffused CO2/water exits the device because the CO2 will remain at the top of the unit it is fully diffused. The result is that near 100% CO2 absorption can be achieved.

The reactor will fit 12/16mm tubing, but spacers are also included to enable fitting of 16/22mm tubing.

Instructions

  • Reactors are installed on the return / outflow tubing from a filter as the water is reintroduced to the aquarium.
  • Cut or replace your filter tubing with PVC tubing.
  • Attach filter tubing to corresponding inlet/outlet of the reactor.
  • Connect CO2 supply to CO2 inlet of the reactor.
  • Turn filter and CO2 on and allow reactor to fill with water.
  • Invert (turn upside down) the reactor to eject any trapped air.
  • Adjust CO2 rate until desired level of dosing is achieved.

If you're using 12mm/16mm I think it will be fine, but for the 16mm/22mm don’t buy as it will leak through the connection If you're using 12mm/16mm I think it will be fine, but for the 16mm/22mm don’t buy as it will leak through the connection

Très bonne diffusion mais il y a quand même un bruit non négligeable quand les hélices tournent. Très bonne diffusion mais il y a quand même un bruit non négligeable quand les hélices tournent.

It works very well but it is essential to have enough flow to run the reactor otherwise the propeller will stop. Be aware that it is a bit difficult to get a waterproof seal when using the adapters. Works really really well. No bubbles in the tank and my co2 lasts longer as there is no co2 wastage what so ever with this and is hidden in my cabinet. My only gripe and as others have said is the inlet and outlet sizes. My pipe is 19/27mm and flow is restricted through dropping to 16/22 and then to 12/16 for this. My spacers also leaked but Teflon tape sorted that out. Other than that it is excellent Works really really well. It works really well, no co2 bubbles in the tank 100% diffusion as advertised. Not top marks because the spacers for 16/22mm tubing restrict flow a bit which is a shame, otherwise it's a very good product. Really good product, does what it's meant to and don't get any co2 coming inot the tank. The impellers make a bit of a rattle noise but nothing too severe. I've been using it for some time and I can definitely see the results - don't get any CO2 bubbles in my tank which I used to hate! Just wish the made a proper 16/22 variety rather than using spacers.
