Step-by-Step
Step 1) Unscrew the compression collar and feed tubing through the collar.
Step 2) To avoid damaging the diffuser, soften the end of the tubing by dipping it in freshly boiled water for a few seconds. This makes the tubing more flexible and easier to attach.
Step 3) Carefully push the tubing onto the diffuser’s nipple, making sure it fits securely over the ridge to ensure a tight seal.
Step 4)Screw the compression collar onto the diffuser to secure the tubing in place. Tighten only until you feel slight resistance—over-tightening may crack the plastic collar.
Step 5) For best results, position the diffuser just above the substrate, and beneath the outflow of the filter.
